Rui Machher Shorsher Jhaal (Rohu Fish with Mustard Curry)

Ingredients:

Rohu Fish

Green Chilies

Jeera

Mustard Seeds

Salt

Turmeric

Mustard Oil

Kalonji

Onions

Sugar

Ginger-Garlic Paste

Chilly Powder

Coriander Powder


- Make some mustard paste  with green chillies and jeera

- Marinate the Rohu pieces in some salt and turmeric for15/20 mins and lightly fry them in mustard oil

- Take the fish out from the oil

- In the same oil for tadka, add some kalonji and fry onions to brown them a bit

- Add some salt and sugar at this stage

- Add some ginger garlic paste

- Once fried, add some chilly powder, turmeric and coriander powder and fry the spices well

- Add the mustard paste mix and fry well

- Add water to make a gravy

- Drop in the fried fish

- Serve Hot
