Sana Thongba (Manipuri Paneer Curry)

Ingredients
Paneer
Green peas
Milk
Water
1 teaspoon nigella or kalonji
1 tablespoons ground/grated ginger
Bay leaves
Turmeric powder
Chili powder
Salt
Oil
Recipe
Cut the paneer into cubes and fry them over medium heat until they turn slightly brown.
Remove and lay them over kitchen tissues to drain the excess oil.
Fry the bay leaves and kalonji for 15/20 seconds.
Add ginger and fry them together for a minute in low flame.
Add the green peas and saute them for a couple of minutes.
Now add turmeric and chilli powder and cook for a minute until the raw smell of turmeric disappears.
Add milk, water, and salt.
Increase the heat and bring them to boil.
Add the paneer and let it simmer until the gravy thickens.
Serve hot with rice.
